Boat Trip To Ephesus
A few video moments from the boat trip from Chios Town to
the port of Cesme, Turkey on our way to Ephesus. |
Isabella Bournias Welcomes Orpheus
Mrs. Isabella Bournias, president of the Enosis
Omogenon Chios, welcomed Orpheus to the island of Chios
during one of the dance workshops.
Mrs. Bournias could not hide her emotions seeing the big
Orpheus contingency.
We were also grateful that a parent of an Orpheus member
offered to all Orpheus visitors coupons to a Chios Town
pastry shop. Needless to say the pastry shop could not keep
up with the demand! |
Dance Workshops - Pyrgousikos
Symos Karaoulanis, a dance instructor in Chios, demonstrates
the dance Pyrgousikos for the Orpheus members that toured
Chios for one week in July of 2011.

Parthenon and Mladost Dance Groups from Paris, France
Visit Orpheus - April 2011
It was a full
house at
Thursday night’s
practice as
members of the
Greek folk dance
group, Parthenon
and Serbian folk
dance group,
Mladost paid a
visit to the
Orpheus practice
location all the
way from Paris,
France! The
Orpheus music
group kept the
energy going and
the dance floor
hopping, with
several island
and mainland
medleys. After
working up an
appetite at
practice,
Orpheus members
and their new
friends sat down
for a nice
dinner, and got
to know each
other a little
better. The two
dance groups
gave an amazing
performance at
the Gateway
theater, on
Sunday, April
17, with several
Orpheus members
cheering them
on.
